Hi.

Welcome to my blog, where I document my adventures. I hope you have a nice stay!

The 40 Before 40 List I think I’ve been pretty fortunate to visit 11 countries in my lifetime. I’m not an expert traveler, I really don’t think anyone should claim that title - no one knows everything, we can all learn something. Since 1997, I’ve visited Scotland England   Ireland France Italy Germany Switzerland San Marino Canada The Bahamas   Iceland I can’t really pick a favorite, every country is different and beautiful in it’s own right. However, I’ve been to Italy, England, and France more than once. I love London, Paris, Florence, and Venice - I would go back any time. I also really loved Iceland and Reykjavik, the capital, was so charming. Switzerland was beautiful. Canada - is so large, there are so many places in Canada I want to see that I could devote a year to that country. But, we are not hear to talk about that. We are here to talk about my wish list, the 29 countries I want to visit before I my 40th birthday, so here goes, in no particular order. Croatia Montenegro The Netherlands Norway Sweden Denmark Kenya South Africa Indonesia (Bali) St. Lucia Chile Argentina Brazil Peru Australia New Zealand Latvia Estonia Russia Japan Thailand Vietnam The Czech Republic India Cuba Belize Portugal Spain Costa Rica You can see my obvious preference for Europe, it is not a bias, it is just where I started with my international travels. Europe has always enchanted me, my ancestors came from the United Kingdom and France so it is only natural I’d be drawn to the continent. I’ve wanted to be bilingual, hell, more like multi-lingual, since I was a teenager. I’m working on it. I’ve been taking French classes for over a year and studying on my own as well as supplementing my studies with the app Duolingo. I started working on Dutch in the spring too, which I surprisingly find a little easier than French. I would also like to be able to speak German and Spanish. Someday! I do not doubt it will happen. There you have it, my bucket list of travels. Cheers to travel dreams that are turned into reality!
