Hi.

Welcome to my blog, where I document my adventures. I hope you have a nice stay!

Updating the country list!

Let’s get this list out of the way, now that two more countries have been added. And for anyone new, my goal is to visit 40 countries (cumulatively over my life) before my 40th birthday in June 2021. Scotland England France Bahamas Canada Switzerland Italy Germany Ireland San Marino Poland Latvia   Lithuania Netherlands Iceland Hungary Slovakia Czech Republic Austria Panama Colombia Next up in June: Denmark and the Faroe Islands for 22 and 23. I am registered for the Tallinn Marathon in September but I might run the half instead. 2017 might be the year of half marathons for me instead of the full 26.2 and I am perfectly fine with that. So after Estonia (and probably a jaunt over to Helsinki) that would bring me to 25 total with only 15 to go in 4 years. I really loved my trip to Central and South America and I thoroughly enjoyed speaking Spanish (not well) but I was encouraged to use my skills and didn’t feel like I was being judged for communicating in my 52% fluent Spanish. (lol Duolingo). I really want to go back! Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and more of Panama are calling me. I also have my sights set on Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia. I’m not randomly naming every country, there are some I’ve left off. I also felt like we encountered different types of travelers than I normally encounter in Europe and I liked it. Central and South America still seem a little bit wild and off the beaten path for me. The fact that English was not widely spoken fluently was different for me. I was pleasantly surprised by every aspect of this trip.
