Hello there! Checking in after a super packed and short work week with about a month to go before I leave for Banff. Last weekend, I went to Cincinnati with two friends and a baby for a race and some low key touristing downtown. I will review the few places, as well as the race, on Monday, because every city deserves to be reviewed. Cincinnati was never a place on my radar but we had a fun time.
Since it has been such a busy week, I have one link. Then I am going to be back on track next week with writing and links and back to a regular schedule.
This news about sunscreen in Hawaii, made me happy. When my friend and I were in Mexico swimming at Cenote Escondido, a local asked us what sunscreen we were slathering on. We had a biodegradable one but since we were about to get on our bikes and leave, we were putting on the sport kind that is not biodegradable because we had it and were trying to use all of it. That said, I've been very conscious of what I put on my skin and in my body. I try to use natural skincare and especially sunscreen since I wear it every day. EVERY DAY (you should too). I use Drunk Elephant brand for my daily facial sunscreen (my friend used it for face and body and liked it) and Pacifica brand for running, the beach, and outdoor sports. A note: the Pacifica brand is in a spray can but the application is not like any other spray sunscreen. Read the directions! The smell is amazing. I should be better about wearing it on my exposed arms and that is my goal this summer. I'm constantly on the lookout for new products to recommend as a natural, reef safe, ocean safe sunscreen at a variety of prices.
Have a sun-safe and happy weekend!
