I've posted a lot of different photos of Prague, for a good reason. Yes, I went there last fall with a friend at the end of a two-week, four city tour of Central Europe (Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Prague). Yes, I loved it. In October of this year, I'm taking a big risk. I am moving there for a TEFL certification program so that I can teach English as a foreign language. I really hope that I can stay in Prague afterward, so I will work the hardest at finding a job there. However, I am going to keep my options open because I need to. Who knows where I will end up? I will stay in Europe, I'd like to stay in a less expensive capital city and the city I live in should have options for me to continue training in circus and silks. I'm researching this now and will apply for jobs in probably 5-10 cities because of this. I'll also probably do a blog post about this at some point.
I know this is going to be a huge adventure, challenge, and change. I know it won't be easy at all and I am welcoming it. Big changes are coming and I am very excited about them Life should keep you on your toes and challenge you and I feel like I've outgrown Chicago and it is time for me to move on. I know I will miss friends and the community I've built here, but I also know that I am great at keeping in touch and will stay friends for life with so many people. I also know that with my hobbies (circus, running, the teaching school!) and because I talk to people, I will make friends.
The focus of my blog will not change, though I know with a smaller salary and fewer travel perks, my traveling will change a bit. I have 17 countries to visit before June 2021 as part of my 40 countries before 40 goals and I could accomplish this in Europe alone, as the continent is compact, but there are a lot of countries still left to visit. I think a lot of my travel will turn into long weekends or focus on some niche topics like: how to travel with a dog, how to travel for a race with a dog, how to travel and train for silks (and with your silks), driving in Europe, the topics are going to be endless and I am excited about this. It is going to be an adventure.
